Yes, I dress her...

She who chews on the legs of my dining room table shall be subjected to the wearing of embarrassingly glittery outfits. Said outfits were picked out by the 4-year-old fashionista that resides in my home who probably wishes nothing more than that the dog's outfit came in children's clothing sizes. And, no matter how hard Miss Sake tries to get it off by furiously rubbing herself all over the grass...

Eventually, she will realize the she is just S.O.L, and succumb to the humiliation.

She's still not very happy with me about her new wardrobe. But, I'm not particularly happy that she crapped in my house this morning, and has assumed that the table seating is her own personal chew toy. Oh, well. We'll both get over it I suppose.

So, I forgot to mention that I won the monthly drawing over at Hambly last month. And, these goodies came for me a few days ago...

Pretty, huh? The bright colors got my imagination churning, which got me to thinking about this book:

Ever read it? It is seriously one of the most inspiring paper arts books of all time. I got it years ago as a Christmas gift, and hadn't picked it up for a reexamination in WAY too long. I started thumbing through it the other day, and got to thinking...a Round Robin journal would be fun! See, the whole purpose behind True Colors was to showcase the art journals of some very well-known and talented paper artists. They all got together, decorated the covers of their own art journals, then passed them around to their fellow Round-Robiners, and they all had the chance to work in each other's books. Their theme was color. Each artist chose a separate color for their own journal. So, for example, if I were to pick blue...everyone that worked in my book would use the color blue. In the end, when my journal was returned to me, it would contain artwork from every other participant using the color blue. And, as a challenging little catch, each person had to come up with a uniquely constructed journal to begin with. For some, the unique part was in the size or dimensions of the journal itself. For others, it was the material of the journals, such as cloth. Others selected a blank antique scrapbook, an antique photo album with frames on each page, etc. Does that all make sense?

Anyway, I was putting feelers out there to see who would be interested in participating in such a project. If you are, just leave me a comment, or feel free to e-mail me at charmedgirlnc@gmail.com. I will see what the interest is like, and if it turns out to be good...I'll get back to you with more details.

Well, I'm off to kick-start my weekend with a little Wii playing. We just got it last weekend. I'm totally addicted to Cooking Mama, and I'm NOT a video game person! And, I'm still gradually getting caught up on my blog reading. Slowly but surely...

Girl...those pics of Sake all dressed up are priceless. WAy to go...she looks FABULOUS! That book looks very interesting and I'd say I'd be interested in doing something, but I don't know that I'm qualified!! I've never done any of that round robin stuff and I'd probably screw it all up :-)

Oh man, that Sake is so adorable all dressed up!! I'd be up for a round robin!

Yes, Bruno gets dressed also. He also gets the full humiliation of being dressed as a female once and a while, LOL. Sake is just too cute. Have you tried giving her chew toys to keep her away from the dining room furniture? We got some from our vet that Bruno loves and it solved the chewing problem forever. I think Frenchies love to chew as a rule?

As for the round robin I am in if it is a go. Love it! I also love that book and the theme of color for a round robin. I have always wanted to do that. Kool!

Yes, I'd dress her up in those outfits too! Hugo has some sweaters. Frenchies do get cold, as you know. Thanks for your mention on Cushings, I knew it was bad. I mean, 16 months to live isn't exactly good news and he's my best fur buddy ever.

Your girl is so pretty! I'll have a creamie one of those days, probably a female. But for now, I really think Hugo would be jealous. Martha is always talking about how jealous her Frenchies are of each other.

What ever your round robin thing is, if I can still get in on it, I'd love to!

The depression is from my stupid PMS, or PMDD as they call it now. I get very quiet, tired and feel very sad. I get over it though-not a big deal but I hate it just the same.

ha ha, my husband just looked over my shoulder and said "why is that little dog wearing clothes??"
and I said "because it's cute. be quiet!" lol.

YAY, congrats on the hambly win, looks like awesome stuff!

And you know, I'd be up for a round robin, sounds awesome!

poor adorable saki. i tried to put a sweater on mia a couple of times when it got really cold but she wanted no part of it & managed to wriggle out of it so more power to you for getting it to stay on!

mia liked to chew on wooden objects as a puppy too. i finally discovered kong toys which are hollow so you can fill them with treats. peanut butter can occupy mia for an hour or two at a time. i know peanut butter isn't a good idea at your house but you might try putting treats or that canned squeezable cheeze in it instead =0)

All of the Hambly goodies look delicious! i think the round robin journal sounds like a blast. I'm in the same boat as ginajam...I'd be concerned about messing it up - I kind of new to all of this :)

Love the pics of Sake all dressed up... I have to say I think it's a fair trade off for her to sucumb to humiliation of being dressed up when she craps on the floor. Moose knows a similar punishment! HA HA.

thanks for the comment on my blog too. there are lots of moving truck companies in oklahoma that have trailers to carry cars as big as ours, but none here. we have a gmc envoy and no one in montana has trucks big enough to hook our car to the back, ughhh! oh well, ill survive- hopefully! lol!

The wardrobe really suits Sake - she's adorable! The round robin sounds fun, it would also be my first try at an art journal though. Congrats on winning all that gorgeous Hambly.

OMG I want your puppy! I've been wanting an american bulldog forever but the husband said no way they are notorious for health problems. What about frenchies? I haven't heard anything bad and she is sooooo damn cute!
